The Premium Bread Makers Association of Nigeria (PBAN) has assembled a team of experts to address the economic challenges facing the bread-making industry. The goal is to develop innovative solutions that ensure competitiveness amidst rising costs.

In a statement signed by consultant Eddy Ademosu, PBAN announced its second annual “Day-Out” event, scheduled for November 21 in Lagos. The theme, “Innovations in a Dynamic Bread-Making Industry: Using Local and Affordable Alternative Ingredients,” will bring together key stakeholders to explore cost-effective solutions.

PBAN President Engineer Emmanuel Onuorah emphasized the need for adaptive innovations to navigate the unstable economic environment. “We recognize the evolving dynamics of the bread-making business and believe innovative solutions are crucial for sustainability.”

The event features esteemed speakers, including:

– Dr. Jummai Tutuwa, Director-General, Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Oshodi

– Mr. Bolaji Anifowose, Crown Flour Mills Ltd

– Mr. Ayodeji Oyinlola, Macadams Baking Systems Nig. Ltd

– Mr. Clestus Chibuko, Edcel Nig. Ltd

Through this collaborative effort, PBAN aims to identify local and affordable alternative ingredients, fostering resilience in the bread-making industry.
